A web site should be easy to navigate, have clear instructions for how to use it, and contain relevant content.
Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn allow users to create accounts, connect with others, and share content. Users can also comment on and rate content posted by others. Some social media sites have built-in search engines that allow users to find specific content.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the ranking of a web site in search engine results. SEO includes optimizing a web site for the search engines, using keywords, and writing articles and blogs that link back to the web site. SEO is most effective when done by a professional SEO company.
Logistics refers to the methods that a company uses to ship its products and deliver them to customers. Logistics includes everything from product design and packaging to shipping and delivery.
Manufacturers make products and distribute them to retailers and consumers. Manufacturers include companies that make products for personal use and companies that manufacture products for commercial use.
Marketing is the process of promoting a product or service to potential customers. Marketing includes advertising, public relations, and direct mailings. Advertising is the most common form of marketing. Public relations is the use of a company’s reputation to influence people’s opinions about a product or service. Direct mailings are letters sent to a targeted audience to promote a product or service.
